GLITTER EYES | IBIZA/FESTIVAL LOOK!

I've been home for almost a week and Ibiza just seems like a distant memory to me now.

No more cocktails, no more dancing the night away and no more
stumbling home at 6am from the clubs!
I had 6 days of partying it up with my girl gang and I rocked the glitter look at every available opportunity.
It's safe to say I'll probably still be washing glitter out of my clothes, hair...everything
for weeks to come!

Now I didn't want to buy just any old glitter, I wanted that chunky, mixed sized, sparkly, fabulous glitter
that has been all over the festival/party circuit lately.
So I trawled through eBay and found these cute little pots of assorted glitter which were perfect for the week and I still have quite a bit left over!

I also ended up buying a Primark glitter body art pack for £2.50 a few days before heading out to Ibiza
and the body glitter glue that came with the pack ended up being my go to for fixing my creations to my face!
Mainly because it was transparent and dried pretty quickly, without leaving too much sticky residue.

This was my first attempt at the glitter eyes look so I had to make do with what was around the house at the time in terms of an adhesive, a pot of vaseline!
Body glitter glue is ideal but Vaseline still works pretty well if you use a light thin layer and pack the glitter on to stop it from showing through too much.

GLITTER ME UP
Using a small flat brush, pick up a thin amount of vaseline and draw out the shape you want on your face with the product.
I found it best to dab with the brush instead of swipe so as not to smudge my foundation into a blurry mess!
Whatever shape/size you have covered with the vaseline will be the area that the glitter will adhere to the most.
So for example here I decided to line underneath my eyes into a curved wing.

Taking a thicker fluffy brush (depending on how much glitter you're going for) ever so lightly press this into the pot of vaseline.
This will allow the brush to pick up more glitter from the pot before applying it to your face.
Select your pot of glitter and dip in! Make sure you have a decent amount of glitter on the brush as there will be some inevitable fall out.
Now pat the glitter all over the area you covered with vaseline, concentrating on areas where you want it to be thickest.
Repeat until you have filled out your chosen shape.

If you're using body glitter glue the same process applies, just work quickly before it dries out!

For finishing touches you can decorate your creation with some face gems!
A pair of tweezers works best for precise application as even the smallest fingers can be elephantine when trying to pick up gems!
Note: A little bit of body glitter glue can help to seal the gems down if they don't seem to be sticking.

Sparkle on baby!
